About the Role:
As a School-Based OT, you will play a vital role in supporting the success of our students. You will collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to evaluate students' needs and develop individualized therapy plans to improve their ability to participate in classroom activities and achieve their educational goals.
Responsibilities: ELEMENTARY CASELOAD
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students with a variety of needs, including fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and participation in daily routines.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans to address identified needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a variety of settings, including individual sessions, small groups, and the classroom environment.
- Document progress and collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school-based occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Active VA Occupational Therapist License
- Experience with school aged kids
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
